Dog Parks in Racine Wisconsin

There are several dog parks in Racine Wisconsin. Read about each one before your next outing with your four-legged friend!

Karen A. Nelson Memorial Dog Park

Designed with both convenience and safety in mind, the park features separate sections tailored to the needs of dogs of varying sizes. Larger dogs, weighing over 25 pounds, frolic in the spacious confines of the large dog section, while smaller canines, including elderly or physically challenged pets, puppies older than four months, and those under 25 pounds, enjoy their own dedicated space in the small dog section.

Visitors to the park will appreciate the thoughtful amenities provided for their convenience. Dispensers stocked with waste bags ensure a clean environment for all, while water stations offer hydration for energetic pups. Shaded areas, furnished with trees and benches, provide a welcome respite from the sun for both pets and owners alike. Additionally, the inclusion of a porta-potty further enhances the overall comfort and convenience of the park experience.

With its serene ambiance and well-appointed facilities, the Karen A. Nelson Memorial Dog Park promises a delightful outing for four-legged companions and their human companions alike.

N. Owen Davies Park

Nestled within the friendly confines of our neighborhood, the five-acre park boasts an array of amenities to cater to every member of the community. From a vibrant playground and expansive playfield to a dedicated dog park, there’s something for everyone to enjoy amidst the tranquil surroundings.

Shaded by numerous trees and dotted with inviting picnic tables and benches, the park offers ample space for relaxation and recreation, whether basking in the sunshine or seeking respite in the cool shade. Worried about your little one wandering off? Rest assured, the perimeter of the park is securely enclosed by a sturdy chain-link fence, ensuring a safe environment for all.

As day turns to night, the fun doesn’t have to end. Thanks to strategically placed area lights, the park remains illuminated after dark, inviting evening play and leisurely strolls along the intersecting walking and bike trails. Explore the scenic beauty of the Root River Pathway, North Shore Trail, and Sturtevant Trail, each offering its own unique charm and allure.

Caledonia Dog Park

The expansive Caledonia Dog Park stretches an impressive 17 acres, allowing your four-legged friend to revel in boundless freedom and adventure! Nestled alongside the picturesque Root River, this park offers a natural playground of trails, woodlands, ponds, and streams for your pooch to explore to their heart’s content.

With two inviting beaches and two convenient water landings, your canine companion will delight in four distinct water-access points, perfect for a refreshing dip or playful splashing session. However, it’s important to note that while the park boasts ample space for off-leash romping, it is not enclosed by a fence. Therefore, for the safety of all visitors, dogs who tend to wander should remain leashed during their visit.

To ensure a harmonious experience for all park-goers, we kindly ask that everyone adhere to the following rules:

Private property owners surround the park; observe the ‘NO TRESPASSING’ and ‘PRIVATE PROPERTY’ signs.

Stay out of the farm fields.

Practice guns are prohibited in the park.

Only dogs are allowed in the dog park.

Dogs younger than six months and female dogs in heat are prohibited.

An adult must accompany children under 12. Young children should not be brought to the dog park for their safety.

Dog owners MUST clean up their dog’s waste.

Pack all your trash.

Dogs must be on a leash upon entering and exiting the off-leash dog area.
