The Ivanhoe Pub & Eatery
Established in 1891, The Ivanhoe Pub originally served Bohemian Brewing Company beer from Chicago, Illinois. In 1898, Pabst acquired the building and leased it to an individual who opened a tavern and boarding house. Barney Richter, a former fighter who relocated from California to Racine, purchased the building in the late 1920s.
During the 1920s and 30s, rumors circulated that many renowned prizefighters frequented the establishment. The vintage lamps that now adorn the pub were gifted to Mr. Richter during the third renovation Grand Opening. Dating back to the early 1800s, these lamps include a set crafted from a horse-drawn hearse, located on the east end of the building.
Today, The Ivanhoe Pub aims to be a gathering place where people of distinction can come together safely for camaraderie on equal footing.

Angry Brothers Pub & Grill
The Lanes is a locally owned and operated establishment with a rich family history in bowling dating back to 1958. Norbert, the owner’s father, played a pivotal role in this legacy, having helped open Bluemound Bowl in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In the early 1970s, Norbert purchased Marathon Lanes in Union Grove, establishing himself as one of Wisconsin’s top bowlers.
Norbert bowled alongside renowned figures such as Dennis Wright, Russ Gersonde, and Harvey Kuenn, all of whom are enshrined in the Wisconsin State Bowling Hall of Fame. With an impressive bowling average exceeding 200 across numerous alleys, Norbert boasts an impressive collection of 300 rings crafted from gold.
Following over two decades of ownership at the Plaza Bowling Center in Racine, the family seized the opportunity to acquire and manage Paradise West, now known as The Lanes on 20.
At The Lanes, family is at the heart of everything. Whether it’s Norbert, his sons David, John, Gregg, and Tom, their wives Karen, Patti, and Jackie, or even the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, you’re likely to encounter a family member whenever the doors are open. This commitment to family creates an atmosphere where everyone feels cared for.
The Lanes prides itself on being a unique family bowling center, offering bowling leagues, volleyball, and bag toss for all to enjoy.
